May 5, 2017- 19th Annual Advanced Practice Nursing Symposium

The Coalition of Advanced Practices Nurses of Indiana (CAPNI) Region 4 and the USI College of Nursing and Health Professions host this all day conference that will explore the most current assessment and treatment options for a variety of patient problems and populations.  

Wendy Wright, MS, RN, APRN, FNP, FAANP, FAAN, is scheduled as the featured speaker. Ms. Wright is the owner of two, nurse practitioner owned and operated clinics in New Hampshire. Ms. Wright has been inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, is the nurse practitioner representative on her state Immunization Advisory Board, and has presented nationally on a variety of topics.  Ms. Wright’s presentations at the Symposium include a Radiology Workshop, Hypertension Management, Discussion of New and Upcoming Infections, and Laboratory Interpretation.  The day will also include two concurrent sessions offering a variety of topics from local experts. This is a very popular conference with family nurse practitioners and acute care nurse practitioners.

April 21, 2017 - Trauma Topics

IU Health is excited to announce the April 21st Trauma Topics conference to be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  This year’s event features Keynote Speaker Deborah Stein, MD, MPH, FACS, FCCM.  Dr. Stein is the Chief of Trauma and the Director of Neurotrauma Critical Care at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
