The following offerings will be held before the conference on November 20, 2024. Registration is required. Additional fees may apply. Fees do include access to the lunch buffet.

  • Are you called upon to analyze the 12-lead ECG and identify STEMI? If so, this session is designed to provide you with tips and strategies to increase correct STEMI recognition while simultaneously reducing unnecessary STEMI activation. This program takes a "real-world" approach and offers a step-by-step approach to improved STEMI decision-making.

    Fee: There is a $50.00 fee for this pre-con. Buffet lunch is included with registration.

  • This class is designed to improve your skills in prepping patients to be used in trauma and medical scenarios. In this class you will learn the basics of how to prepare and make-up your patient to provide a more real-life skills station. This class will be taught by an individual with years of experience in this area, and has the ability to make the patient's more realistic than real life in some instances. The instructor has been requested by multiple different organizations to assist and train their staff. This class will provide a hands-on demonstration of the how t's and allow for questions and answers. This class is two (20) hours long and all participants will receive a moulage kit at the completion.

    Fee: $85 (includes Buffett lunch and the Moulage Kit)

  • The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient. The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care. Verification of successful course completion is based on passing the written exam and the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) psychomotor skills station. Verification is valid for four years.

    Registration is required and is in addition to the Crossroads Emergency Conference.

    The MIH Summit will consist of six (6) different speakers who are experts in the Field of Mobile Integrated Healthcare and Community Paramedicine. The speakers have helped set up programs all across the country and have lectured not only nationally but internationally. This information will be beneficial for current programs and those looking to start or expand their programs. It will be interactive and allow for time to meet the experts during and after the conference is over. This class will also provide invaluable networking opportunities within the state and throughout the country.

  • Become a Certified Handtevy Instructor for FREE!

    The Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Instructor Course is an 8-hour live lecture and hands-on course that is intended to certify instructors to teach the Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Provider Course at their department and earn credits. The course uses the basic tenets of ACLS training as the foundation while still covering the basic pediatric ALS principles and nuances. The course focuses on the skills needed to rapidly and accurately treat the sick and injured pediatric patient.

    The EMS Division of Indiana Department of Homeland Security has graciously sponsored the Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Instructor Course - an opportunity you do not want to miss! 

    This CAPCE-certified, hands-on and lecture course is intended to certify instructors to teach the Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Provider Course at their department and earn credit.
