Nurses, in all settings, and school personnel provide healthcare and supportive services to individuals with ASD. Both nurses and school personnel face unique challenges (e.g., medication administration, addressing hygiene, disruptive behaviors, etc.) when developing and implementing healthcare interventions for individuals with ASD. The focus of this conference will be to provide a series of highly focused sessions aimed at increasing nurses and school personnel skills when addressing the healthcare needs of individuals with ASD.
