November 5, 2019- Emergency Department Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT)

  • Regenstrief Institute, Room RF 105 1101 West 10th Street Indianapolis, IN, 46202 United States (map)

The Indiana chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians is hosting a *free* course about MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) for opioid use disorder. It is for providers wanting to get a waiver to prescribe MAT (such as buprenorphine) or for providers simply interested in learning more about MAT. We would love for our NP colleagues in ENA to participate in the class.

Who: Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers who are interested in learning more about prescribing MAT for opioid use disorder

What: 1-day course titled "Emergency Department Medications for Addiction Treatment"

When: Tuesday, Nov 5, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM

Where: Regenstrief Institute: 1101 West 10th St Room RF 105, Indianapolis, IN

Why: Research demonstrates that MAT is effective in the treatment of Opioid Use Disorders and can help patients achieve long-term recovery. We are at the front line of the opioid epidemic in the ED and well-positioned to prescribe and/or recognize MAT as an integral part of patients' recovery.
